SPEAKER'S PROFILE
Dr Cookie Govender, Stream Leader: Training & Development University of Johannesburg
Dr Cookie Govender is the Stream Leader of Training and Development in the HR Division of the University of Johannesburg (UJ). She holds two Masters degrees in Curriculum Design and Educational Leadership from Brock University (Canada) and the University of San Diego (USA) respectively. In 2003, she completed a PhD at the former Rand Afrikaans University (currently UJ) on educational management philosophy. Cookie has extensive experience in the public, private, corporate and NGO educational environments. She has published two books: Teacher’s Guide for Mathematics Grade 7 and Project Management in Education and Training.
