PIETER S. JONKERS, Managing Consultant

Pieter Jonkers joined Control Risks Group in December 2001 to take up the post of consultant for Control Risks Benelux B.V. Pieter Jonkers joined Control Risks Group in December 2001 to take up the post of consultant for Control Risks Benelux B.V. Pieter specializes in business intelligence/due diligence and fraud cases and has managed a wide range of projects throughout Europe and Sub Saharan Africa.

Pieter is an attorney at law and is registered with the Dutch Bar Association. He first studied Industrial Engineering at the University of Eindhoven but changed to Law at the University of Utrecht. Part of his degree was earned at the University of Orléans in France

Upon finishing his studies Pieter moved to Amsterdam and practiced law for seven years: three years for a law office specializing in insolvency and company law and four years with his own law firm. Before joining Control Risks, Pieter worked with ING Barings as vice-president and Corporate Council specializing in International Securities and Banking Law. Pieter also has a background in IT-law and has litigated many technically oriented cases.

He speaks Dutch, English, German and French and is still active as a reserve-military in the Dutch Army.
