| Speaker's Profile TOM CAIRNES Tom is a founding partner of the Sierra Investment Fund (SIF), a private equity fund working in Sierra Leone that will begin its first round of fund raising in the second quarter of 2006. He has spent 18 moths worked for UNDP in Sierra Leone and has a background in financial services consulting, working in London, New York, Amsterdam and Mexico. Tom has an M.Phil in Development Economics from Cambridge University and a B.A. from Oxford University. He speaks fluent Krio. .
