Prof. ERIC BUCH

Eric Buch is Professor of Health Policy and Management in the School of Health Systems and Public Health at the University of Pretoria and is Health Adviser to the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD). He was formerly Deputy Director General for Health Care of Gauteng in South Africa, Executive Director for Health, Housing and Urbanisation of metropolitan Johannesburg and a Director of the Centre for Health Policy at the University of the Witwatersrand. He was active in anti-apartheid health organisations, serving, amongst others, as General Secretary of the National Progressive Primary Health Care Network for nearly a decade. He is a registered specialist in Community Health.
